About Us

Who we are, what we do, and why we are so passionate about our work

Our History

We have existed since 2019

Founded in 2019 by J. George Kent-Nye, Computersmith Ltd has always been a technology company focused on finding solutions to complex problems.

Originally started to provide sub-contractual services to other larger firms, the company has worked on a variety of different projects, from Umbraco website development to mobile app testing.

The company itself is based in rural Mid-Wales on the outskirts of Newtown, and as such is very used to working remotely, dealing with bilingual environments, and working within limited budgets.

What we do

We are a developer-first company, always up for new challenges, and thrive in delivering custom projects which we can really feel proud about working on and creating.

Our most recent long-term project has been working on GovWatch. As discussed in our case study, this was a complex project with unique requirements - such as the storing, processing, and display of a lot of data. The website is easily handling the 1000+ individual pages controlled by the content management system (CMS).

It is these sorts of websites, that cannot be created with off-the-shelf solutions that we specialise in being able to deliver, and also what we enjoy creating the most.
